Become a Content Executive with The&Academy

We are actively seeking the future generation of content executives.

In collaboration with Big Creative Education, we’ve designed a training programme that equips you with fundamental skills crucial for a role we consider pivotal in shaping the future of our industry.

Your position will be vital  in conveying and organising client briefs for our creative teams.

To excel in this capacity, you will receive training in essential project management principles and gain a comprehensive understanding of content creation logistics and the production process.

Your role will be working with the client to determine what they’re looking for, and then liaising with internal teams such as the Strategy and Creative departments to make it happen. You will also learn the fundamentals of creating content yourself, including coming up with a creative concept, writing a script, shooting with a camera, and editing footage.

Every day will look different, but here are some of the things you will be involved with:

  • Creating and managing content projects from ideation to delivery, and organising timelines and timings
  • Creative development and production – sourcing venues, music permissions, equipment hire, images and talent (eg. directors, photographers, actors, etc)
  • Commercial support – tracking spend against budget allocated for your project, fees, invoices, and any other costs
  • Developing relationships with clients – understanding their business needs, getting them to trust you
  • Managing clients’ expectations – keeping them updated on timings and delays, taking feedback and implementing it
  • Being the liaison between the client and internal teams, making sure that creatives, strategists and designers understand the client’s brief
  • Reporting campaign data and engagement such as views, clicks, likes, etc to the client and making any tweaks to the campaign to boost numbers

You won’t need any specific work experience, but you’ll need to be interested in brands and advertising, in social media and technology, in culture and the world around you. Key skills are:

  • Creativity – you’ll need an inquisitive mind, want to create exciting work, and want to develop solutions to clients’ problems
  • People skills – you’ll need to work effectively and collaboratively with a range of people from clients to producers and senior leadership
  • Ability to work under pressure – you’ll be able to prioritise during stressful moments and communicate difficulties to relevant people
  • Strong attention to detail – whether that’s brand consistency, deadlines, or budgets
  • Organisation – from organising meetings, acquiring approvals, tracking budgets

Be the Future of Content

Content can be anything you want people to pay attention to, from videos to GIFs to blog articles, TikToks and social media captions, billboards and bus displays, product descriptions and website copy. Content can be always-on, like influencers with a regular posting schedule, or run for a specific period like a holiday promotion.
